This Privacy Policy explains how Preetam Nath collects and processes information in connection with Audio Video to Text.
Plain English: we only use your data to run the transcription service; we don’t sell it, and we don’t use your audio/video/transcripts to train AI models.
What we collect
We collect the minimum necessary to provide the Service:
- Account info: Google account ID, name, email (via Google Sign-In).
- Content you upload: audio/video files, plus any metadata you provide.
- Outputs we generate: transcripts, timestamps/diarization JSON (if applicable).
- Operational metadata: job IDs, model used, duration, status, error logs.
- Payments: handled by Dodo Payments (Merchant of Record). We receive non-sensitive payment status/entitlements (e.g., credit balances), not your full payment details.
- Analytics & diagnostics:
- Simple Analytics (privacy-friendly website analytics).
- PostHog (product analytics).
- Sentry (error monitoring).
- Cookies/Local Storage: strictly necessary for authentication/session and basic analytics; no advertising/marketing cookies.
How we use data
We use your information to:
- Provide and improve the Service (transcribe content you upload and deliver outputs).
- Authenticate users (Google Sign-In only).
- Operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service (logs, error reports, abuse prevention).
- Handle billing/credits via Dodo Payments.
No AI training: We do not use your uploads or transcripts to train AI models.
Replicate retention: Transcription jobs run on Replicate. As per Replicate’s API behavior, artifacts from your job are automatically deleted by Replicate roughly 1 hour after processing. We do not control Replicate’s internal retention but rely on their stated behavior.
Our retention: We store your uploads/outputs and job metadata in our infrastructure until you ask us to delete them (no auto-deletion window currently). Request account or content deletion by emailing support@audiovideototext.com from the Google account you use to sign in.
Where data is stored (data residency)
- Files & outputs (uploads, transcripts): stored in Cloudflare R2 (EU region).
- Database (account & operational metadata): Neon Postgres (region is selected from provider options; we prioritize EU or US regions operated by reputable providers).
- App hosting: Vercel (operational logs/telemetry may pass through their infrastructure).
- Inference processing: Replicate (transient job data deleted on their side ~1 hour after job completion).
Sharing and disclosure
We share data with subprocessors strictly to provide the Service (see “Subprocessors” below). We do not sell personal data. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the Service.

Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you can:
- Access the personal data we hold about you,
- Request deletion of your account, files, and transcripts,
- Correct inaccurate information.
For any request, email support@audiovideototext.com from the Google account you use to sign in. We may need to verify your identity and account ownership.
Data security
We use reputable infrastructure providers and industry-standard safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Audio Video to Text is a professional, paid service and not directed to children. You must be 18+ (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. If you’re under 18, you may only use the Service with a parent/guardian’s consent and supervision. If we learn we collected data from a child contrary to this section, we will delete it.
International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries different from yours. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers, subject to applicable law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time as the Service evolves. We’ll post the updated version here and may notify you via the app or email. Your continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
